The three of you take flight, Poncho in the lead. He keeps you all skimming the surface of the water, in hopes of avoiding any technological detection. Before long you come across a cluster of ships, moving at a moderate speed across the lake. They appear to be on patrol. Logically, that would mean they're keeping an eye on whatever may come out of that Nexus. Which, since that list now includes you three, is a cause for alarm.

Though none of you are native to Earth, you've been around long enough to have been fully briefed on the emblems of the Coalition States. Though these seem slightly different, the white skull on all of the otherwise black ships is hard to ignore.

Sir Jeremiah sinks into the water up to his chin, "Best to keep low and slow, my valiant squire...we should probably also warn the fishermen."

and with that the submerged Cosmo Terror Sub makes a beeline for the first vessel

((if he can't "fly" underwater, he'll use his Swim as a Fish inborn spell))

obliviious to the shouts of panic from the ships, Sir Jeremiah putts along though as he approaches he begins to slowly rise from the water, trailing his fishing line, only picking up speed to avoid any heavy munitions coming his way, otherwise ignoring any small arms fire.

Finally with a massive surge he blasts from the water and with a mighty leap lands on the deck of the lead boat.

"Fishermen of Gary, I hail to you. Do not be alarmed and check your wits, there may be danger about, but fear not, I, Sir Jeremiah of Earth Steve, am here to help!"

*cuts to hands on hips, chin elevated dramatic pose*

Oh yeah, there's definite open firing going on. So far just rail gun and plasma weapons, mounted onto the deck of the ships and manned by individual troops. None of the heavy stuff has been brought to bare yet.
