"HARUMPH...those are some very large harpoons, must be fishing for whale, poor lads, don't they know that an armada the size of the one coming for them will scare off any indeginous aquatics?" This last bit said more to himself, but regardless Sir Jeremiah begins to approach the bridge of the vessel he currently stands on, still seemingly ignorant of the gun fire eating away at him.
Stopping near the trembling form of a seaman, that nevertheless continues to empty his rifle into the Cosmo Terror.
"My good man, could you lead me to the Captain of this fine vessel? I wish to have an accord with him." _________________ So's Your Face! |

Sir Jeremiah waits for an answer for a few moments, as the seamans waste disposal systems go into over-drive.
"Mute, aye? Sorry poor lad, I didn't want to reopen old wounds and bitter memories. Well...damn gnats! As I was saying... here the Cosmo Terror pauses for a moment, once again in deep concentration, then...PING!!! as an incoming rail round deflects off the Knights forehead. "Ah yes, anyways good fishermen, be on the look out for Lethusian Armadas, or better yet, be on the smell out for them, as they are quite invisible, yet smell like weeks old Tolurian Cabbage and wet feet. Keep up the good work there lad and you'll beat that muteness yet!" and after a sharp cuff on the back of the trembling soldier, Sir Jeremiah blasts off to the heavens, quickly leaving the fleet and possibly the earth behind. _________________ So's Your Face! |

"Oh Heavens," Poncho mutters, opting to let Jeremiah blow off some of his delusional frustration for now, and sticking with Grey's invisible form. Poncho heads back for the camp, hoping Grey will return in his own time. |

The boatmen hear "Like a child..." muttered from seemingly nowhere as Grey blinks from D-shift back to the shore where they were grouped earlier. _________________ Bitches ain't shit. |

"He's getting worse." Poncho says, when Grey materializes. "This realm might be affecting him. Too far separated from the Forge." |

"As long as he doesn't accelerate to Light Speed, I'm faster in space than he is. I can track him later. For now, best that we move away from this spot. I can't imagine those soldiers are going to be open for conversation any time soon." Poncho moves to collect Jeremiah's poor mount. |

An earthshaking BOOM sends ripples over the great lake as Sir Jeremiah accelerates to escape velocity, rocketing to the sky and into the heavens above, to get a bit of distance and clarity to this new world Gary. Though terrestrian by birth, after being reforged, space has always been his succor and peace. There among the infinite stars, things always made more sense, and though it has been decades since he last visited the inky expanse, the fog of his mind seems just a little less thick up there.
After breaking low orbit, where blue sky meets black space, he stops and turns to the blue orb of earth, a faint thought of how the Red Rifts seem like angry scars, passes through his mind.
"Much to heal..." he ponders _________________ So's Your Face! |

"I'm afraid not. For a nexus nestled between a body of water and a forest, this area is surprisingly lifeless." Poncho seems concerned about just how lifeless the area is. |

hovering over the glittering blue jewel that is Gary, Sir Jeremiah studies its landmasses for a moment, placing imaginary markers upon them, detailing the location of familiar landmarks with his own Earth Steve. For the moment things seem clearer, less concealed, like a fog burnt away with the noonday sun. For the moment, no dragons seem to raise their head in challenge to the knight.
after what seems like hours, finally the aged champion turns, his gaze settles on the vastness of space opposite Gary. For a time he floats and observes, noticing the icy trail of a comet hundreds of thousands of miles away, the glowing beacons of lights coming from the nearby moon. With a heaving sigh, Sir Jeremiah lowers his gaze. looking inward, searching for a touchstone to his maker, The Cosmic Forge. For a few moments the connection is weak and strained as if something were blocking or impeding the flow between Creator and Creation, but with tenacity built over epochs of time, Sir Jeremiah finds his center, his life and communes with the flames of his lifeforce and with the universe itself, as he become intune with the planets in close orbit (galactically speaking at least) and to the familiar yet alien stars beyond.
for a moment, his commune and concentration is broken by a deep gurgling rumble that starts within him, but fortunately in the cold vacuum of space, none can hear the relief of pressure from the lower portion of the armor that is Sir Jeremiah.

Oh wait, you're reaching out for the Cosmic Forge?
Excellent.
Though there are no fluids within you to perform such an act, your body is filled with revulsion, and the need to vomit. There is a source out there, and while it still empowers you, it is certainly not Your Cosmic Forge. It feels wrong, all wrong, and now so do you. But perhaps wrong is the incorrect word. In anything, it feels cleaner than your Forge...so clean that your soul feels filthy in its presence. Perhaps this is due to your fading mind, or perhaps none of this is happening and you're just that insane. |

"Weighed...Measured...and found Wanting..."
afterwhich the aged Knight continues to float, only moving to correct a decaying orbit or to avoid larger space debris, as he ponders the sensation, daring for the first time in many years to question the decaying of his mind, finally noticing the Dreadnaught class battlecruiser in the room as it were.
"I have seen the birth and death of stars, I have glimpsed upon the greatest tragedies of mortals and witnessed their greatest kindness. I have championed causes for people now lost to the sands of time, and nutured civilizations from barbarism and savagery. But never have I felt such purity, never have I touched such righteousness. Have all my works been for naught? Have all I done weighed as a grain of sand to fall so short of such glory?"
"If I had lost myself before, where do I know stand? Or has this haze brought me to the waking of a reality I had not yet imagined? Have I been blinded to finally find sight?"
sadly the passing satellite doesn't answer the questions of the Terror, but the non-sentience of objects have rarely bothered the Champion. _________________ So's Your Face! |

"Hubris and Pride old man...though I have seen much, truly it is a sign of a failing mind...my failing mind...to think that I have encountered all this existence has to offer." A silent chuckle shakes the armored knight gently.
"Yet still is this other Forge, troubling. It was like touching the Sun, yet still I remain, though not without scars....not without scars...HARUMPH!"
"Take heart Old Timer, the mysteries will reveal themselves in their own time, it is your task to be ready to see them when the time presents itself."
and so the conversation goes, space his only companion and the ghosts of his own mind his only answers. _________________ So's Your Face! |

After a bit more rambling, you begin to notice that the space around you is actually relatively crowded. |

"Ahem, Good Sir, might you know the way to the nearest rift or wormhole that leads to the Dezari Quadrant?"
the slowly floating piece of space debris doesn't answer
"Well no need to be...rude" the last part is more of a sigh than an actual word(or telepathic communication as it were) as for a moment the humble space fairie that he had seen before reveals its true nature as a clump of rock and ice to the Terror.

It looks like there's a pair of habitable space stations, just in your near vision. |

"Hmmm, space hamlets...best to approach incognito, get a feel for the locals."
Sir Jeremiah looks for his poncho and hat, then by some miracles of miracles he remembers that they are on his trusty steed, and by even a greater miracle (at least for the horse) he remembers that horses are rarely space ready.
"HARUMPH...well, we'll have to resort to other forms of disguise."
Though rarely used, still the inborn ability of his race comes naturally as the Cosmo Terror fades from view as he becomes invisible. _________________ So's Your Face! |

Is the Brave Sir Jeremy hiding from the space stations, or plotting another course of action once invisible? |

There are two. One is larger, but looks physically older and less advanced. The second, smaller station, looks far newer, but is bristling with weapon emplacements. |

Just for my own benefit for setting the scene...since you're coming in Invisible. Are you planning to try to gain entrance to the Space Station, and if so how, or are you going another route? |

First I'll merely putter around the station, getting a feel for its layout as well as playing stalker and look through any viewports, making sure everything is on the up and up. Once satisfied that the people inside aren't ravenous demons from the abyss, Jeremy will move back to an appropriate haling distance, become visible and attempt to radio them and announce his presence and asking permission to come aboard. _________________ So's Your Face! |
