For these initial few posts, I want you to build your own scene. You are awaking inside your home, or wherever you crashed the night before. For the Nightspawn in the game, you'll be awaking to a transformers body. The same goes for the Werebeasts, though I leave you the option of waking up in full on animal mode, or in Were mode.

Keep in mind, except for a couple of you, I've never even been to your state, let alone your city or home. So for these early posts, you're going to have to put in a lot of descriptors for me.

And...go!

Sonya wakes up, rolls back and forth a few times, gets out of bed and looks forward to her day off from work. Her plans are to visit the New Mexico Museum of Space History tucked in the Sacramento Mountains foothills on the northeast end of the town. After that, nothing really planned. Maybe ride her mountain bike along trails or explore the White Sands, a place she never grows tired of. The dunes are gypsum which have an interesting property of not getting hot under the New Mexican sun. You can walk barefoot in the cool sand on a hot day.

It's morning, her eyes are still half closed, but they burst wide open as she pushes the locks of hair away from her face standing in front of her mirror to brush her teeth and wash her face. She tries to blink but she can't. She feels her breasts, bigger, firmer. She feels her arms, stomache, and thighs, stronger, firmer. She traces her plump limps with an unbelieving finger.

"Are my eyes bigger, too?" she wonders to herself. "Am I breathing?" She's not sure. "What the...."

Sonya thinks she understands what's happened to her but she refuses to believe it still. She looks around slowly, still not blinking. She lifts the lid on the toilet next to the sink, it feels about right. "Not that much stronger, I guess," she mumbles. She watches her muscles, "certainly look more toned though," she says a little louder to herself.

She sits at the edge of her bed with a sigh and thinks to herself, "could be that I'm dreaming." She looks back at the bathroom. "Feels so real though." She stands up, feeling more graceful than normal, she strolls to the bathroom and turns on the shower water. For a few minutes she stares at herself in the mirror, tracing her curves with her hands, shifting her weight from one leg to the other, flexing, doing martial arts moves in slow motion. "Wow," she says, impressed with this new beauty radiating from her motions and even just standing still.

She steps into the shower. She washes herself normally, the idea that this is reality settled a little more durably in her synapses. "Holy shit," she says, awe struck. "What am I going to do?"

She gets out of the shower. Dries her body and her hair. She dresses and notices her body fills the clothes a little tighter and much more sexier than normal. She turns to the side, stares at her own bum, rubs it a little. "Jesus Christ," she mumbles.

She decides she needs to get this under control before going out into public, nevermind before going back to work. She concentrates as hard as she can on something - not sure what - trying to revert to her original form.

You can feel something inside yourself, like a second voice calling out for freedom. But the voice sounds very angry, almost as if her ugly shouts were clawing away at your lovely flesh.

"Oh fuck," she scrambles to her PC, unsure where exactly to look, she starts Internet searches using apt key search phrases like "so you're a bane" or "how to control your morphus".

"Stay calm. Stay calm. Stay calm. Stay calm. Stay calm." *click* "Come on, come on," the results can't load fast enough, even though they're really fast.

For ten minutes you skim through a number of links, half of which are just redirects to virus sites or porn bombs. Your anti-virus software is going mad.

You have come across three basic premises, two of them neatly presented in elegant PDF's with frightening illustrations. Either you are both forms, and the screaming voice is just your psyche coping with things; or you're an entirely different personality than the screaming voice down in your gut, and she wants her freedom at your expense; or you're an entirely separate entity that's possessed this body, and you just don't remember any of your own genuine memories from before now, and are stuck with her fleshy dreams.

All the while the voice screams on...and for a moment, you almost felt like your left breast was losing its new shape. But only a moment.

Sonya breathes as calm as possible. She explores her psychology, parapsychology, biology, lore, and streetwise skills trying to come up with anything that might help her get a handle on herself. Or if she knows of someone that can explain better than this "piece of shit web" she stands up from her PC, angry.

Looking around, frantically trying not to be frantic, she catches sight of her bookshelf. "Professor Zubov!" she blurts out. She slides back to the computer, pulls of the university's faculty page and looks up Doctor Zubov. She writes down all of his information and starts dialing him up on her mobile phone and sends him an email at the exact same time. If it's morning here, it'll be late afternoon there.

Sonya speaks quickly in Russian explaining the situation how she woke up transformed, the results of her searches, and how desperate does she need help. She leaves her mobile phone number four or five times and her email address another few times. She tries to call the university switchboard operator to get the Professor's receptionist or teaching assistant; meanwhile she tries to find the university class schedule to see if he's in lecture while she waits for stuff to develop on the phone.

The professor is indeed in lecture, and will be for the next hour. You've gotten his TA's contact information, but she also seems to be out. About twenty minutes later, your cell phone rings.

Sonya checks who is calling or if it's coming up "unknown". In any case she clicks "talk".

"Allo?!" she blurts.

There continues to be no response. But right as you're hanging up the phone you think you almost heard, in Russian, "Good-Bye".

Sofia ponders the tone and intention of "Good-Bye".

Sofia makes a list of all she know who has her phone number and will wait for professor to call back. If he calls back, of course.

After another forty or so minutes, your phone rings again. Assuming you answer it, it is your professor, and his tone is one of great concern.

"I've transformed!" Sonya catches her breath, "and got an unknown phone call with nothing at the other end."

((He was her favourite psychology professor in university, and they played Go together on a regular basis during the semester. She also assisted him with his experiments with students/volunteers such as the glass of water with entirely too much glass experiment to include parapsychological experiments in ESP and the like. He was also her mentor during her thesis writing.))
