"Ok... this is just odd." Putting the ice-pack back in my freezer I get my newspaper and see if I see anything odd in the paper, maybe some story about mass albinism or something odd?

Unfortunately, other than the snippets on the ninth anniversary of dark day, there's little of note in the paper that seems odd.

Though it does seem that a number of terrorist cells across the west coast were all nailed in the last 48 hours. Go America!

Well being at a loss I'll do my next favorite relaxing technique, drive to Ventura and try to sit at the beach and meet my friend Cathrine for lunch before she has to go to work.

I'm going to go for jeans, t-shirt with an overshirt with long sleeves and I'll pull out my Doctor Who fedora to hide the blond/white hair.

Being outside in the sun is definitely nice. However, you have to catch yourself while at the beach. Twice your hand was unconsciously moving towards your hood, as if to pull it down. The beach is relatively crowded, busier than you'd expect. There's the innate peace of the ocean, but otherwise it is not proving to be the most peaceful experience. What are your plans in regards to Catherine?

Um hi... so I guess that means I'm not going crazy. So remember your stories about those things your grandmother used to see in the Philippines? I think this tops those stories.

I'll be honest I thought I was having some sort of break down... I have no clue. I went to bed last night and then woke up like a Powder reject.

Food has come and gone over the course of the conversation, as has more alcohol than should be consumed for a midday meal.

It's a hot day, and it has only gotten hotter. You feel full, but you're not sure if it's from the food, or from the sun that's been beating down on you. You aren't sweating though, that much you've noticed. Neither the spice of the mexican or the may sun are having the slightest impact on you.

You've also noticed that you're dining alone. The staff hasn't brought anyone else out to the patio area, though inside the restaurant looks quite busy.

Catherine has been relatively silent, there's been polite conversation, but it's obvious her mind is elsewhere. Finally, as the meal is winding down, she sparks back to life. "What about this being a miracle? Something straight out of the Bible?"

Well I guess it always could be... But this? I mean I appreciate the better vision but you'd think G-d would have better ways of handling that. And why me of all people? I like myself and all that but I'm far from Job material.
