Holding back that female dark jedi with his blade Tas takes a swipe at her with his own blade while remaining in close quarters combatat with her. He looks into the eyes of the battle-mad dark sider

"It does not have to be this way! Surrender yourselves before you are destroyed. Do not sacrifice yourself for a cause that cannot succeed...you are beaten here but there is still hope...hope for both of you! If you do not then you will fall here, never to be remembered and never missed. "

Tas jerks his head slightly to the side to indicate the troopers behind him, speaking loud enough to ensure they can hear him clear as day

"You will simply be replaced by your uncaring masters. These troopers will not hesitate to bring both of you down even as you and I fight. You care for the wounded one, I could feel it...do not force him to die an ignoble death; cut down . Your droids are finished and more soldiers are reinforcing us...."

She locks your blades, seeking to make this a contest of strength with you. She however grimaces, and you can feel her weaken slightly, as you find the advantageous position...

A look of pure contempt screws up her face however, "Foolish boy Jedi! Yours is a light to be extinguished from this universe! What do you know of passion, impotent monk! My love will at least leave it's mark; on your fetid corpses! Finish them, Tango!"

Once again, the unnatural sucking sensation on the Force is felt by all, and this time, arcs of ionic energy leap across the room. Expelled from the form of the male Darksider, they slam repeatedly into the banks of computers and relays on the far wall of the room. Snap-hiss and the sounds of exploding glass fill the room, as the energy discharges from Tango's hands, eyes, and mouth. He begins to tremble, his armor begins to smolder, as he continues pumping more and more energy into the delicate ship's circuitry...

Crais however was waiting for this moment. Despite the pandemonium his aim is clear and true; it enters one ear and exits the other, taking most of Tango's head with it (nat 20!). The darksiders body slumps lifelessly to the ground, as ionic energy continues to play over the system's boards, but can already be seen to be starting to dissipate, as it plays over resistor to resistor.

The female darksider howls in anger, muderous rage evident in her eyes, but as she focuses her attention on Crais, Kalen rushes forward and kicks out, and all feel a wave of the Force lash out, slamming the female darksider first into the opposite wall. As she begins to recover, the computer bank finishes its' own flight, sealing her ill-fated destiny.

With that, Tas feels a familiar brush against his mind, Safe? asks Master Daemos.

Tas nods his head to no one in particular and responds mentally

"As always, Master. It was nothing that we could not handle."

He turns to look at the troopers and smiles to them

"You have performed beyond expectation, well done both of you. We must make sure the damage can be minimized however or they will have won even in death."

Motioning to Crais: "Check the computer equipment and make sure nothing has been burnt too badly to stabilize while we wait for a repair crew to get down here.

Turning to Kalen: "Help me clear the dead from this place. We do not need any additional distractions for others to see if this ship is to continue its course."

With that he walks to the site of the shot dark sider grabs his feet, motioning for Kalen to get his shoulders

In an tone that could almost be mistaken for joyous

Crais, quickly pulls out some tools from his utility belt and starts to make sure the axillary power is still working. He'll pull one of the other two to help if needed.

"The systems were hit bad, and it didn't help that they ripped computer consoles out." He looks over to Tas, "Even if we weren't still being boarded this ship would be scuttled. But I think there is enough time to get the crew to escape pods and other escape craft."

((Novastar correct me if I am wrong about still being boarded and if the ship would be scuttled))

Kalen seems to ignore the praise from the young Jedi, instead only answering.

"You make yourself a monster, you deserve to be put down like one."

After moving the first and reentering the room, Kalen shields his face when the plasma arc erupts from the console.

"What's the situation with power? Are we going to make it?"

((OSHA - where's OSHA when you need them!!! - The following Actions are to take place, unless Tas orders us to leave. But in order to save All the crew... Heroics be damned!))

Crais, pulls back reflexively from the control boards. "These things are fried, the power is fluctuating. It will take me some time to fix this in order to rescue the crew and abandon ship." He looks to Kalen, "I'll need help though, get me a tech!"

Crais starts to pull off panels, and tries to rewire the controls (FP to activate Fool's Luck for a +14 Mechanics Check! And Destiny Point this bitch!) "C'mon baby, Daddy wants to kill more Sith!"

Kalen radios the bridge calling for any engineers to help Crais save the ship and crew as he pulls the panel off for the Engineer to work.

After which, Kalen leaves engineering behind, moving quickly back down the hall in the direction the droids were/are coming from. He moves quickly battering down any remaining droid forces with a quick barrage from both blasters, trying to make his way to their breaching entry point.

The bridge radios back about Damage Control teams already being on the way, but Crais is a blur of motion, routing not only computer relays to one another, but also electrical sinks. Arcs of electricity can be seen, but begin to flow into vital systems. Power begins to stabilize, the ship regaining flight control just as it begins to hit the heavy lower atmosphere of the desert planet below.

Sinks in the control panel explode as power overloads them, but Crais has done it, and Auxilary Power has been stabilized. What once was a destination with oblivion has still become the express elevator to hell, but the ship will no longer crash headlong into the shifting sands of Tantooine. It bucks and bolts, the deckplates themselves seem to rebel against gravity, but at the end of the journey, the Tantive IV lies in the desert wastes, damaged and broken, but not destroyed...

(I have a ton of meetings at work today, but this will be continued in a new thread: Chapter 2 - What a Desolate Place this is... )
