"And that leaves Jaq and Willis. You'll both be accompanying me to Credia itself. We'll be leaving tonight. I'll be setting up shop in Credia, and I'll be needing you both to worm your way into the social circles of the nobility. While ours will be the most comfortable job, for now, understand that Credia is the end game. It is imperative that we pry every secret that there is to be found in that city. We'll need them all to turn the nobility against itself, and to turn the commoners against the nobles."

This whole post is going to be OOC, so I'll dispense with the (()).

Things have picked up here at work (where I do the majority of my dicking around on the net) and so I don't know how frequently I'm going to be able to produce quality responses to anything that might be happening. Heck, I started and abandoned like 3 or 4 just yesterday, mostly because I would have to run off in the middle of what I was writing and then come back without any idea of where I was going with whatever post.

My hope is that things will calm down like in a week or so, but I don't know if I necessarily want to count on that - rather, I don't know if I want you guys counting on me to perform something I might not have the time for.

And with that, I have to run off yet again. Damn job.

You're far too good a player for me to not be willing to work around your schedule. If it comes down to you needing to be all chess player like, and give me four or five potential moves ahead, in the random bits of free time you get, absolutely go with that and I'll make it work.

You could also build up an if/then type bit of short commands for Jaq. If you're gone for longer than a week and there's seven Dwarves trying to eat your face, then you'll turn into a dwarven woman without a beard and the sheer horror should disable them, etc.

Obviously that's a bit complex for an if/then, but a few options are workable.

Let me know, but I definitely don't want to lose you.

Shocked Embarassed
And here I was with the impression that I was doing a fantastically sub-par job compared to the other guys... Thanks.

Well, like I'm hoping, I should be freeing up in the next week or so, so it might just be this slight hiccup. I'll do my damnedest to participate (and if that means posting during my lunchtime, which is usually reserved for watching the previous day's "Daily Show" on hulu, then so be it).

((And with that, time to make good on the lunch-workin'!))

As Jaq sits after taking this all in, this seems all just too good to be true. He quickly starts to sift through his memories to determine whom among the clients he has serviced might already be prime for leveraging (read: Total Recall, looking for the names of clients that might have had connections in Credia; once that's done, then filtering through any that might have mentioned Credia).

Jaq clears his throat and starts to propose his plan. "Auntie, I think that it would be best for me to set up multiple residences - one for each persona I will adopt to maximize infiltration. I can only assume that we already have an idea of who to best approach first; I would like to have as much information as possible on those individuals as to best create the persona's necessary. By the time we get to Credia I should have at least a handful of persona's ready to implement; the location of the residences should then correspond to the persona's standing."

Once Auntie has you four alone from the rest of the brothel staff, she opts to answer Jaq's questions. "The local spymasters have dossiers prepared, but I prefer to do my own work. The Empire has been lax with their spymasters in recent decade. Most of the Timiro agents have been in place for over a decade. Agents that long in the field become highly unreliable. We'll be making base with the Tordid family. They're still one of the ten richest families in all of Timiro, but they've fallen politically out of favor. Half of the Lord's daughters have been married off to families in the outer cities of the Western Empire, in the hopes of securing new contracts here. We won't conduct any business through their lands, but it will give us a starting point to expand from."

She pauses, and takes a sip of her wine. "As for the rest of your requests, they'll have to wait for a time. We won't be going by ship, or by land. Viktor will be taking us all in a Circle, tonight. I just didn't want the Emperor's men knowing I'd already established circles in Timiro. Of course, our whores will be going the long way. By the time they arrive, we shall be prepared to act, and you should have had time to establish your identities."

((and unless there's a Timiro component to your background, your memories aren't really giving you any insight into their courts there))

((None for me personally, just wondering if I'd picked up anything from various clients - I really need to look at a map and see where the hell everything is again...))

"Aye..." Willis pauses for a long moment. "Oi hate travelin by circle. Always makes me queasy once I come out der other side."

"As fer what I need, is to just know what targets we need to get to know. I can make meself their best friend... with a little pushing."

Auntie seems to enjoy your eagerness. At least you hope that's what her smile means. "We'll begin target selection in a few days, once we've arrived. Though I do believe I may kill someone tomorrow, just to celebrate the freedom. Gather your belongings, we'll be departing in a few hours. I still have much to handle, myself," and with that she departs, her bodyguards following quickly behind her.

Willis gives Jaq a heavy handed slap on the back.

"Dis' should be excitin!" The sadistic tone wasn't even attempted to be masked.

He went to his quarters, and began packing his luggage for travel.

Jaq ensures that she has a good selection of both male and female attire (of various styles and quality) to take with; everything else will likely need to be purchased to fit the personas to be adopted.

Willis inquires about some better attire than what he normally wears. Something a little more neat, but not very memorable. If magic clothing is available, something that could change colors would be nice in case we need to evade a description.
