Would it be possible for you to send one of your swarm selves to investigate? Your size, plus my invisibility spell should make it easy to scope out the tower rather safely. |

Absolutely. I'm thinking of bringing the tower down anyway so investigation prior to that is certainly not a problem. Let's move now so we can investigate under the auspices of darkness. We may have to return to our new country bumpkin friend here for answers as well. |

Well I'd suggest avoiding making to much of a scene until we have a better idea how dangerous these guys really are. |

OK, heading down the dirt path as directed by the farmer, or going elsewhere? |

I'd say heading down the path, but stopping well before the tower. |

Andrew pilots the RHV out onto the road and heads in the direction the farmer told them until the tower comes into sight. Turning off the lights he stops the vehicle about a half mile away and pulls off the road, preferably into tall grass or behind a patch of trees if possible. He then dismounts and nods to Fext as he takes on of the walkie-talkie radios from its charger for himself and hands one to Fext.
"I'll radio you when I get there after making sure everything is safe and let you know if anything is awry. I shouldn't be longer than 20 minutes, I imagine."
With that he breaks off into a jog towards the tower, breaking into his swarm either if any indication of guards or at about 200ft away. The rest of the way the swarm spreads out and approaches much more carefully, looking for any sign of danger or monitoring the entire way. |

One thing you both notice as soon as you get off the dirt road, is that the dirt road leads to a well paved and well maintained road. Though it is only a two lane road, structurally it is in far superior shape than anything you've seen outside of major cities, on your Earth, anyway. (I'll talk about the tower once you've had time to react to that) |

I'm surprised at the road conditions, but I've had a feeling this world is a lot more 'stable' then the regular Rifts Earth. |

After a few miles of very smooth driving, courtesy of the well maintained road you've been driving on, at last you've come within visual range of the Tower.
It's not an outpost or a defense station like you'd been expecting however, but instead appears to be a communications tower of some kind, out in the middle of seeming nowhere. All around you have been endless fields of vegetables and grains, and the entire world has been too quiet for either of your tastes. But now, you can see the Tower. It's like nothing you've ever seen from the Coalition back home. |

So what exactly does the tower look like or what is it that makes it seem so different from a Coalition one? |

Andrew looks at the looming tower grow as they near
"Well that's surprising. I didn't think the even the Coalition would be as careless as that to leave a tower up in the middle of this farmland area. What do you make of this world, Fext? This is looking more and more like Coalition authorities actually managed to not have their heads buried up their asses. That thought alone is unnerving."
As long as there are no signs of military guards, sentries, or robots near the tower Andrew will continue heading towards it up to about a half-mile away.

"This world seems... quieter then the one we just left, especially if they would leave a tower like this with no real guard." |

No guards have presented themselves as you make the half mile mark. The tower itself is about sixty feet tall, and is colored in the traditional Coalition black. It appears to have a series of access consoles, as well as an equal number of thin monitors built into the tower at about human eye level. |

Turning to Andrew, "Hmmm, how familiar are you with Coalition technology? I'm not sure how much luck I would have with accessing it on my own." |

"Technology is technology. The only difference between CS gear and Atlantis stuff is you're more likely to get a warranty from the Coalition. Let's crack this thing open and take a look, shall we?"
Andrew pauses for a moment as he looks over it one more time then begins to look along the panels for any type of sensor that could possibly be used as an alarm.
"Fext, do me a favor and see if there's any kind of magical barrier or detection here. This is already not the Coalition we know and I prefer we find out it's at least as manaphobic as it is where we live." |

I always found the lack of holographic interfaces to be clumsy at best.
Nodding his head to himself Fext takes a moment pull at the ambient PPE and then cast Sense Magic and Detect Concealment |

There is nothing magical about the Sensor Tower.
However, once you both are within immediate range of it, a soft feminine voice activates. "Welcome, Citizens." And you're both fairly certain the Tower is scanning you. |

Mumbling under his breath, "Crap....", Fext gets ready to throw up a defensive spell and figures he'll let the carbon based lifeform talk for now. |
