For these initial few posts, I want you to build your own scene. You are awaking inside your home, or wherever you crashed the night before. For the Nightspawn in the game, you'll be awaking to a transformers body. The same goes for the Werebeasts, though I leave you the option of waking up in full on animal mode, or in Were mode.

Keep in mind, except for a couple of you, I've never even been to your state, let alone your city or home. So for these early posts, you're going to have to put in a lot of descriptors for me.

And...go!

my noon alarm goes off. i swat the snooze button. i don't feel like getting up today. not yet, at least. 1:30 rolls around, and i finally give in to consciousness. dad's at work today, so i have the apartment to myself for a good 6 hours.
yet another day of sitting on my ass, letting life pass me by. i stumble into the bathroom to do my morning business, ignoring the light as i usually do. after hobbling over to the computer, i check to see if anyone has spoken to me. nothing.
wait, why am i wearing gloves? what the hell am i wearing?
"what the fuck?"
i dash to the bathroom, turn the light on, and feel a rush of emotion...
"WHAT THE FUCK!?"

straight to the palladium boards i go, cranking out a poorly arranged thread. before i've even hit the submit button, i feel a powerful urge to listen to some music... pulling up some jamiroquai makes me feel better. hell, it makes me want to dance! after a few songs have finished, i settle down enough to check the thread...

Shortly after your last post, your internet service goes down. A quick scan of other wireless networks to piggy back off of seems to indicate that the whole block is out. That's odd though, cable and dsl both offline at the same time.

i take a look out the front and back windows. i'm on the second floor, so they both give a pretty good vantage point, and the back window looks out over the main road.

weird day. maybe if i go out for a bit, the power will be back on when i get back. hey, what better reason to go to the park, maybe show off my new... duds...? for a while.

i step into the bathroom to wash my hair before going out to my car to head to the park.

i slip on a pair of pants and a light jacket; enough that it will cover up some unusual bits, but not so much that i can't move.
not really a regular park-goer these days, other than cutting through it when i go for a bike ride. back in my slightly fitter days, i would go there with friends to toss the frisbee around, though.

The park is pretty sparsely populated at this time of day. Some older folks enjoying their silver years, and a few college kids burning off steam with a soccer ball are the only masses of people, otherwise the park is dotted with occasional runners.

So, what exactly are you thinking about showing off?

knowing me, i would most likely chicken out just as i was about to do... something. instead, i lay down on one of the picnic tables under the roofed area to just relax and observe, like i usually do. if my music starts going, i'll probably submit to temptation and start moving my groovy posterior though.

While you're busy observing, you notice there's a tiny brunette that's been "observing" you for the last five minutes or so. Over the edge of her paperback, of course. Tastefully subtle, but still noticeable.
