Dubisch was one of the "later generation" of Pal artists I could *mostly* get into (and not just because he drew lots of b00bayz); the guy had a knack for putting out some of the more atmospheric critter pics I had seen in the books, even if I felt like the work belonged somewhere besides Rifts. Damn shame he's went elsewhere.

I actually didn't like Dubisch at first. I don't know if he just got better as he went on or it just grew on me, but I really like his stuff these days.

Perez is still my favorite. I don't know if he is the "best" or anything, but when I think of Rifts, his art is what comes to mind. He captures it perfectly.

Perez is Def my favorite...

I cant say Long is horrendous, its just rigid... 90% of his 'decent' stuff is all Davinci esque style body shaped (spread legs, arms in various positions of extended)... it doesn't look natural... I like Long's armor in Triax but thats the good stuff I think.

Newton is definitely a more natural looking artist. The things he draws dont look rigid (scanned through all of Triax for examples using same setting material).

Someone who I dont know if I should call good or bad is Apollo Okumura (or however its spelled) its all like solid black dotmatrix inking in various sizes of dot... but that doesnt work well because when he does something that is supposed to be Organic, it still looks metallic. I like Apollo's vehicles but thats about it the rest of his crap is pure garbage. Todd Hebenstriect(again... spelling) does the same inking style and its god awful.

And the artist name Deborah Comfort Love, is a horrible artist name... and does horrible art as well. There is a such thing as "too much detail" for a B&W. If There is so much scenery detail, that it begins to not only make the foreground hard to discern but also confuses to what the characters may or may not be doing in that scene... is just way too much. And light flare from a flashlight... DOESNT TRANSLATE WELL IN B&W.

Kevin Long's Robotech art is a big part of what made me a Palladium fan. I didn't even know that much about Robotech (and still don't really), but his art was amazing. Easily my favorite artist of the black and white Palladium stable.

Wayne's stuff is completely hit and miss. Some of it is terrible. And I mean "Holy shit he got paid for this?" terrible. Some of it is decent. Some of it is really well done. The most important thing though is that almost all his work portrays the settings in a way that I liked. Even his horrifically done art captures the feel of the setting in a way that satisfies me. Also, his weapons and vehicles are much much better than his "living" art.

Perez is alright. I dislike some of this stuff though. Most of it is pretty spot on.

Apollo I don't care for most of the time, but only because I feel he's being misused. He's like the opposite of Wayne. His life shots are amazing and his tech art is less than great.

Gustovich is also one of my favorites. Right up there with Long.

Larry MacDougall deserves mention as well. I started out not caring for his art, but as the years went on its definitely grown on me.

KevSim's art is actually pretty good. Just don't ask him to draw a girl. Cause he can't. Unless you want a girl that looks oddly manish. Of course if that is what you want he's the best man for the job.

Newton Ewel (sp?) I don't care for. Never did. It clashed to much with the rest of the art in the books.

And obviously the best artist to ever do Palladium was Parkinson. No contest.
