This is going to be a game in which characters from the traditional Rifts Earth end up on a twisted funhouse reflection of Rifts Earth. There will be a Coalition, there will be a Lazlo, there will be an ARCHIE, there will be a Triax.

However, small elements of the game world will be changed, and perhaps some large elements as well. I feel it's a radical enough change in design that rather than expect you all to understand everything from step one, I'd rather go the route of having you all be strangers in a strange land. You will be at least partially familiar with your new surroundings due to the lifetime you have lived in Rifts Earth, but things will be different here.

Now then, as far as races and classes and even alignments go, I'm letting this one be fairly flexible. I will give a few warnings however. This is an expedition being run by Lazlo, so this probably isn't the game for your Coalition Juicer, or your straight from Atlantis Conservator armed with four greatest rune weapons.

I won't automatically reject powerful characters out of hand, but remember I'll build the encounters based on what you all are playing -- so keep that in mind when you decide to pitch me your One Hundred Handed Cosmo Knight that's been impaled on Yggdrasil.

Now, in an effort to remain consistent throughout all of my games, I will be handling all combat rolls myself. The Robotech group decided that's how they wanted things done, and as such you all will just have to trust in the GM.

This is very much an early announcement on my part. I don't expect the Rifts game to materialize for at least two months. I've got the Robotech game going live next week, and Palladium Fantasy and Amber are my next two projects as I've already got bodies for those. Plus, I want the Rifts game and the Nightspawn game to have larger casts. I'm looking for around ten players in each game, maybe up to twelve.

Also, as a warning, while I am in no way, shape, or form a Killer GM, this is a game where I expect people to die. There will be a bit of a learning curve for this new world, and it will cost some of you. Don't fret, we'll get you up and running with a new character ASAP.

Now, for those interested in this game and are seeing this post on the Palladium forum, contact me via PM or respond in the thread. For those interested on my own forum, simply respond in this thread. I want to use this time to get an idea of what everyone wants to play, which is a bonus feature of the gap before game play begins.
