Character Creation:
For your six Stats, assign to them the values of: 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8
After you’ve assigned your stats, you can add 5 points to any stat(s)

Ex1: 20, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8
Ex2: 16, 16, 15, 12, 10, 8
Ex3: 16, 14, 14, 13, 10, 10

Consider yourself to start with double maximum starting wealth (Credits), but you need to buy your gear (no freebies).

All characters begin with 1 Destiny Point. You will gain 1 Destiny Point per level. You can never have more than 1 Destiny Point (no hoarding).

All players will start with 7 Force Points, which can affect die rolls, or supercharge Force powers, for those who are trained in manipulating the Force.

Build otherwise as seen in the Saga Edition Core Rulebook (SECR), and level up to 4th level. Cross-class builds are acceptable.

For those who don't have the book, PM a character concept to me, and I'll try to build a d20 character around it.

Some sample builds:

I have none of the books, so I'll be having you make me up something if not a problem. What kind of characters are you looking for? Rebel, Confederacy, non-allied, ewoks?

The beauty of PbP is it can be just about anything...
except Gungans & Ewoks, unless you want to die in a fire! j/k

I have no problem running people at cross-purposes.

no problemo, just wanted to check if you wanted a "group" or are going for the more scattered character approach.

It's actually the newest d20 edition, "Saga Edition".

It simplifies a lot of things down, but not quite to the bland taste I get from 4th edition.

An excellent character sheet, if you have Excel (and Enable Macros): http://www.mediafire.com/?yc1cwy2521y
(be forewarned, it's on Mediafire, which is pop-up happy)

There are also less than legitimate means of getting a .pdf (argh!), which unlike other companies, due to the way Lucas Licensing does it's electronic rights distribution, I have no problem telling people it's available.

The only book I'm a little leery of is The Force Unleashed.
All the others have seemed pretty well balanced to me.

And does this already include the 4th level bump up of +1 to two different stats?

So once the character is done, how do you want them submitted?

PM for now.
Does everyone want to keep their character sheets secret, or post them publicly?

Oh - and if anyone wants their equipment modified, it's 1k or 10% (I think that's the rules!) of the cost of the item (whichever costs more), and time of 1 day per 1k. I'm willing to do so, you supply the parts!

Disposition:

Bio: When barely old enough to be considered a child, the youth showed a promising talent with the Force that seperated him from his siblings and the other children of the small mining fleet he called home. Not wishing to raise another child with few prospects beyond mining burnt out stars and asteroid fields, his parents sent him to the Jedi Temple, in hopes of offering him a kinder future. There at the feet of masters, he excelled at a young age, showing great promise, as he dreamt of a future as a legendary Jedi Master. But rarely do the dreams of children dictate Fate.

In the last days of the war, as the Grand Temple came under assault by the forces of the Trade Federation, Master Binli Jandoo, freed a shuttle in an attempt to save what younglings (editor's note: *PUKE*) he could from the encroaching droid army. Aided by a handful of padawan's and a squad of Clone Troopers, Binli managed to save nearly 3 dozen younglings (editor's note: *insert puking scene from Team America*) from the burning temple, before making an escape from the devastation, albeit a brief one.

Pursued by droid and Sith forces alike, their shuttle was quickly brought down under a hail of blaster fire and crashed in a war torn block no more than a dozen miles from the Temple. The few that survived the crash, were then forced to a running battle through the cratered and bloodsoaked streets by their pursuers.

In the end, Master Binli, a lone padawan, a handful of Clones and only 5 younglings (editor's note: I think I've made my point) remained, trapped in the burning wreckage of a shell struck building, as Sith Hunters moved in for the kill.

Master Binli fought bravely and the padawan died on his feet, a salvaged sabre maiming the Sith who took his life, the Clones did the only thing they knew how and fought like starving wolves, but their foes numbers were too great and their fates would soon share that of a million other lost souls to the war.

A Clone Trooper warbird, picked up the destress beacon from the downed shuttle and as if guided the Force itself, found the beleagured combatants and with a mass of blaster fire, repelled the encroaching Droids and Sith long enough for the handful of survivors to board the rescuing craft and make for atmo.

Only 3 of the younglings and 4 Clone Troopers made it on board the craft, one of the younglings died shortly after escaping the atmosphere, having taken a stray blaster bolt to the back while evac-ing. The other held on for 2 days, joining the Force only hours before meeting up with the heavily damaged fleet and its medical ships in deep space. Only Kalen carried on.

Since that day so many years ago, Kalen gave up any dream of being a great Jedi, the Order all but destroyed, instead seeking a life amongst his new family and brothers, the Clone Troopers. Still the Force courses through him and sometimes in the quiet of space or the vigorous fury of battle, he can feel that old calling and remembers the old words of long dead masters. But such a fate is not his he feels. Instead it is bleeding in the trenches, blaster at the ready, dying beside his brothers, the only family he has left.

whew! that ran a little long Very Happy

Bio:
Tas was born on the influential planet of Corellia but that is all he knows of the world beyond books and holofeeds. He was raised in the Jedi Temple as all initiates are and was finally assigned to Master Guidd Daemos as his Padawan. While honored to no longer be a mere initiate, Tas was initially disappointed to know he'd been assigned an aging Jedi master instead of one of the great heroes of the Order like the recently deceased Obi-Wan Kenobi. His training with Master Daemos quickly proved the Kel-Dor could be rather spry when needed and was a veritable fountain of information as Tas had discovered the older Jedi could be. The death of his (and almost every Padawan as well as more than a few Knights if you asked them) heroes Kenobi and Skywalker during their attempt to rescue the chancellor proved to be yet another merit for having Daemos as his Master.

Under Master Daemos, Tas practiced his manipulation of the Force and its applications to all situations but worked tirelessly on his own lightsaber techniques as the situation with the Confederacy reached dire levels and his own master's advanced age. While not as strong as many of his peers, Daemos' teachings enabled him to overcome his sub-par strength by concentrating on his faster reflexes and superior intellect. Combining that with his Force training has resulted in ability to fight equally well with a lightsaber whether it's in his hand or not.

Bio: Born on Sluis Van Telis was brought into the Jedi order at a young age like most Padawans and trained on Coruscant. Like most Sluissi Telis had a love for machines and was always working on ways to improve how they worked. He still bears the marks from some of his early experiments though and never did regenerate the tip of his pinky finger that got cut off when he was trying to find a way to increase the power of his lightsaber. Telis always less comfortable engaging in combat managed to avoid most of the Clone Wars, working on improving the systems in the Temple on Coruscant. It was in the Jedi archives that he found strange gaps in the records. Planets missing where they should be listed as well as strange plans hidden in Republic Senate’s systems. Not sure what to make of it and with his master off planet fighting in the war he made copies of some of the information and took a transport to Sluis Van to see if any of the experts had made contact with there could make heads or tails of it, to nervous to dare talk except face to face and unable to get locate his Master. His decision and paranoia there saved him as he was far away from the core when the battle leading to the death of Chancellor Palpatine. Hiding among the population of Sluis Van, Telis managed to avoid being executed as a Jedi and against his instincts started working on contacting the Rebel Forces and help them against the Confederacy.
